My son's middle school's Advanced Band brought home a Superior rating from the ABDA in Birmingham yesterday. Our band director should be very proud of himself for all the hard work he has put into molding these young men and women to perform at their very best.
I'm so proud of him and his bandmates at the way they played and conducted themselves while listening to the other bands perform.
I heard this afternoon that the 9th grade school received an Excellent rating and the high school received a Superior rating. The high school band was absolutely FANTASTIC!!! I'm hoping that the high school's band director is still there when my son is a sophomore - I believe that he could learn a lot from him.
