I finished my very first formal dress. Last fall, my daughter asked me if I would make her prom dress. I was very hesitant because I'd never worked with taffeta nor had I made a formal dress. Then my competive streak kicked in and the project was started. I'm quite pleased with the way it turned out, especially since I found the fabric for less than $30 in Tennessee. Yay!

Prom isn't for a few more weeks, but I promise to post pictures of my daughter in this dress.
Now, I can relax!

Thanks! I worried myself sick over this dress. From will my 18 yo sewing machine survive (it did) to will she like it (she does) and does it fit (thankfully, yes).
